Today we flew Czech airlines into Prague. Snacks on board were kolace - just like my grandmother used to make. We had lunch at a restaurant where I could actually recognize some of the menu as the extent of my Czech language skills revolves around three food words:) We wandered thru the New Town of Prague, which is about 450 years old, and waited for our bus tour to begin with Peter, who led us thru the city by bus, by boat, and on foot with his cheesy Mozart umbrella. He was hilarious and gave us a wonderful history of the city with lots of jokes and proud use of American slang. We saw the Prague castle, the Charles bridge, the Rudolphinium where the Czech Philharmonic plays tomorrow night. Yes, we hope to be there. We're having a wonderful time and it's going quickly. Day 4 is over:(

Really in Prague Now

What a nice blog entry. I can't wait to show it to Aaron because the pictures really explain what you did. Flew on an airplane...with "Fritz"...followed cheesy umbrella. Aaron will be able to participate in the exciting adventures of Trixie!!! Nothing nearly as exciting here. I baked cookies and made dinner in the crock pot. Just doesn't have the mystique of traveling through Prague. I guess this is why I do not update my blog as often. :) Happy travels!
I'm a little concerned about security out on the tarmac. I think in the states you'd be shot on site and the threat level would automatically go to 'blazing red' if you stopped to take a picture outside a plane. Have you asked anyone for Chek Cola yet? Though I guess that assumes there are Winn Dixie's in the area. Probably not.
From the Little Drummer Boy:
Fire crackers, Patty. Rocket ships. Space ship. An airplane goes "wshoooooo" (picture miming and airplane.) Bye Bye!
Frank, this photo was snapped just before as Czech officials were giving me "the look." So glad we got it! The little plane even had the fold-out steps which I love.
